Vijayawada, March 04, 2026: Authorities at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri have finalised world-class preparations for the Maha Kumbhabhishekam from March 6 to 8.
The event, guided by Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, expects nearly one lakh devotees on the first two days and 1.5 lakh on the final day.
Key rituals start with Yagashala ceremonies on March 6, leading to the main consecration at 9:34 am on March 8 in Mesha Lagnam.
NTR District Collector G Lakshmisha directed seamless amenities, including queue management, free Annaprasadam and laddu distribution, drinking water, toilets, medical camps, buttermilk supply in lines, shower points, live telecast, public address systems, and an integrated control room.
Security features drones, CCTV, AI cameras, and traffic plans, modeled on Dasara-scale efficiency. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu received an invitation, with free darshan available throughout.
