Newsroom, March 04, 2026: The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that Indian airlines operated 24 flights to West Asia on March 3 and will ramp up to 58 on March 4.

This includes 30 from IndiGo and 23 combined from Air India and Air India Express. The moves come after widespread cancellations over 1,200 in recent days due to closed airspaces from the escalating tensions.

Special arrangements focus on stranded Indians in the Gulf region, with airlines adding capacity and coordinating with authorities for safe travel.

Foreign carriers like Emirates and Etihad also ran some flights recently. The government monitors airfares and ensures refunds or rescheduling for affected passengers.
