Amaravati, March 04, 2026: Three teenage boys drowned in a water tank in Krishna district on Holi, turning festival celebrations tragic for a small village community.
The victims, aged 12 to 16 and friends from Chikkavaram Kandrika village in Gannavaram mandal, had gone to wash off colours after playing Holi.
One slipped into the deep tank; the others drowned during the rescue attempt. Families raised an alarm when the boys failed to return home by evening. Police recovered all three bodies after a search near the tank.
