Newsroom, March 04, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed Class 10 and 12 board examinations set for March 5 and 6 across Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The decision, outlined in a circular issued March 3, cites the unstable situation in parts of the Middle East linked to the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. This follows an earlier postponement of exams on March 2 in the same region.

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stressed student well-being, urging affected candidates to monitor school updates and official channels. Exams from March 7 onward face review as the situation evolves.

While India-based exams proceed normally, this move affects CBSE-affiliated schools serving many Indian expatriate families in the Gulf.
