Amaravati, March 03, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has confirmed that the government is actively identifying alternate lands to relocate residents of Carpenters Colony in Banaganapalle's Jurreru Vaagu area.

The move follows Supreme Court directives to clear river bed encroachments and protect natural watercourses.

The minister made the announcement during a site inspection, emphasizing swift action to comply with court orders while ensuring residents are not left without homes. Officials are scouting suitable relocation sites to minimize disruption for the affected families.
