Vijayawada, March 02, 2026: Leaders from multiple left parties including CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML) factions, Revolutionary Socialist Party, and others staged a demonstration in Vijayawada to condemn the joint US-Israel military strikes on Iran.
The protests highlighted reported civilian casualties, including bombings near schools, and the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the initial wave of attacks that began late February.
Demonstrators described the actions as imperialistic overreach aimed at controlling resources and subduing sovereign nations, urging the Indian government to issue a strong statement against the strikes.
