Kadapa, March 02, 2026: Superintendent of Police Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke flagged off a women's safety rally in Kadapa to observe Women's Week leading up to International Women's Day.

Participants formed a human chain from Koti Reddy circle to Seven Roads junction, raising awareness on protecting women and girls.

Shelke reaffirmed the department's commitment, spotlighting initiatives like 'Palle Nidra' night patrols in villages and regular drives in schools and colleges.

He encouraged immediate reporting of harassment via the emergency number 112. Girl students are invited to join competitions in elocution, essay writing, painting, and drawing at the District Police Office on March 8.

Senior officers, including Additional SPs and Deputy SPs, joined the event.
