Amaravati, March 01, 2026: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) teams from Tirupati Range caught a camp clerk, Ch. Hemant Sathvik, and senior assistant, Sk. Siraj, at the Sullurupeta RDO office red-handed.

They allegedly demanded and accepted ₹40,000 from a complainant, along with private mediator B. Venkata Subbaiah, to speed up an official favour in revenue matters. The trap unfolded on Saturday in this coastal town of Tirupati district's Nellore region.

The three were immediately arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Authorities plan to produce them before the ACB special court in Nellore for remand and further probe.
