Amaravati, March 01, 2026: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu launched a statewide HPV vaccination drive in Vizianagaram district to protect adolescent girls from cervical cancer.

The initiative targets nearly 3.45 lakh girls aged 14 (some sources note 14-15), offering the vaccine free at over 1,600 health centres with strong cold-chain support.

Naidu stressed prevention under the theme “Prevention is Better than Cure,” aiming to build a cervical cancer-free Andhra Pradesh amid rising cancer cases.
