Amaravati, March 01, 2026: The Supreme Court dismissed a Special Leave Petition by 326 APPSC Group-I officers, affirming the Andhra Pradesh High Court's February 11 directive to shift them from focal (sensitive or high-impact) posts to non-focal ones.
The High Court acted on prima facie evidence of gross irregularities in the answer sheet evaluation for the 2018 notification (No. 27/2018) recruitment process.
The state government complied swiftly in response to court pressure, completing the reassignments by February 25, 5,5 following a compliance report from the Chief Secretary.
