Amaravati, March 01, 2026: The Odisha State Disaster Response Force (OSDRF) emerged as champions in the regional-level Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) competitions hosted by the 10th Battalion National Disaster Response Force in Kondapavuluru village, Krishna district.
Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (APSDRF) finished as runner-up in the southern region event, which featured teams from Telangana, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the host state.
APSDRF DIG B. Raja Kumari presented trophies and medals during the concluding ceremony on Friday, with NDRF officers in attendance.
These competitions build expertise in urban search and rescue operations, vital for India's disaster-prone regions.
