Amaravati, March 01, 2026: In Rajamahendravaram, East Godavari district, 15 people including six women and three infants remain hospitalized with life-threatening acute renal failure linked to adulterated milk supplied by a single unauthorised vendor between February 16 and 18.

The milk, reportedly from Varalakshmi Dairy in Narasapuram village, has been tied to at least five deaths so far, with victims suffering severe symptoms like vomiting, urinary blockage, and kidney shutdown.

Authorities suspect a toxic coolant leak possibly ethylene glycol from storage equipment contaminated the supply.
