Amaravati, February 28, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government plans to settle Rs 2,500 crore in pending dues under the former YSR Aarogyasri Scheme now known as NTR Vaidya Seva through a one-time settlement (OTS) mechanism.

Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav announced the move during discussions at AP Dialogues in Vijayawada. The dues, inherited from the previous administration, have strained network hospitals, prompting threats to halt services.

The current NDA coalition has already ensured timely payments for ongoing treatments under NTR Vaidya Seva and spent Rs 7,500 crore in under two years on the program.
