Amaravati, February 27, 2026: Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) is rolling out Project SARTHI, an AI-driven traffic management initiative to transform urban mobility in the city.

The project features Adaptive Traffic Control Systems at over 100 junctions that adjust signal timings in real time based on vehicle density detected by sensors.

An Integrated Traffic Management System will cover dozens of junctions with automatic number plate recognition and red light violation detection, enabling instant e-challans for offenders.
