Newsroom, February 27, 2026: President Droupadi Murmu flew a sortie in the LCH 'Prachand' at Jaisalmer Air Force Station today.

She acted as co-pilot in the indigenous combat helicopter, built by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

The flight took place near the western border ahead of the Indian Air Force's Exercise Vayu Shakti-2026. Dressed in an olive green flight suit and helmet, she received a briefing from the crew and waved from the cockpit before takeoff.
