Amaravati, February 27, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council was adjourned amid disruptions over the ongoing Tirumala laddu ghee controversy, preventing a scheduled short-duration discussion.

Opposition YSRCP members, led by MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy and Leader of the Opposition Botsa Satyanarayana, pushed for a full debate on alleged irregularities in ghee supply to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

They accused the ruling government of avoiding scrutiny and politicising the sacred prasadam. Treasury benches, including Minister Payyavula Keshav, insisted on a ministerial statement first and confirmed readiness for discussion on March 4.

Chairman Koyye Moshen Raju adjourned the House till Friday after noisy scenes and slogan-raising from both sides, as tempers flared over procedural disagreements.
