Amaravati, February 26, 2026: YSRCP MLCs accused the NDA government of misleading the Andhra Pradesh Legislature on critical public issues, including food safety and employee rights.
A group of YSRCP MLCs, including Ramesh Yadav, MV Ramachandra Reddy, and Monditoka Arun Kumar, addressed the media at the State Assembly in Vijayawada.
They claimed the government gave evasive answers in the Assembly and Council, denying food adulteration or poisoning incidents in hostels over the past 20 months despite prior complaints, inspections showing poor food quality, and expired medicines.
Leaders highlighted recurring problems with adulterated milk, liquor, water, and food, linking them to diarrhoea outbreaks and deaths due to inadequate inspections and preventive steps.
They also questioned the selective regularisation of contract employees, noting 3,000 health posts were addressed before the election code under Act No. 30 of 2023, while others remain pending.
