Amaravati, February 26, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation (APTF) held a dharna at Prakasam Bhavan in Ongole to urge the state government to act swiftly on key demands.
Union leaders highlighted that the 12th Pay Revision Commission remains unappointed after more than two years, four dearness allowances are pending, and ₹25,000 crore in gratuity and provident fund arrears linger for retired employees.
They also sought workload relief by reducing non-teaching app-based duties and staffing single-teacher schools with two posts.
APTF State President Chennupati Manjula and district leaders stressed that these unresolved issues affect thousands of teachers and school workers statewide. The protest aligns with planned escalations, including a major demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on March 10.
