Amaravati, February 26: Andhra Pradesh is building more than 1,000 modern warehouses and drying yards under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme, launched nationally in 2020.
Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu told the Legislative Council that 1,005 such facilities have been initiated through Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS), which are being upgraded into multi-purpose facility centres.
Of these, 717 are already complete, with a total investment of ₹504.42 crore. Completed works include ₹373.97 crore for warehouse construction and ₹7.75 crore for equipment.
