Amaravati, February 25, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan condemned the use of adulterated ghee in Tirumala's sacred laddu prasadam as a grave sacrilege and a planned conspiracy against the Hindu faith.

Speaking in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly, he cited investigations showing the supplied substance was not genuine ghee but a mix of palm oil and chemicals, with no milk used.

Reports indicate nearly 68 lakh kg of such material was procured between 2019 and 2024, leading to over 20 crore laddus prepared with spurious ingredients and distributed to millions of devotees, including during major events.

Pawan Kalyan held the previous administration responsible, stressed the need for unified condemnation of attacks on Hindu dharma across divides, and warned that temple misuse invites severe consequences.
