Amaravati, February 25, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu sharply criticised the previous YSRCP government, calling its rule "dark days" that destroyed the state, while pledging full reconstruction under the NDA alliance.
Speaking during the foundation-laying for ₹456 crore Veligonda project feeder canal lining works in Markapuram district, Naidu accused the former regime of incomplete projects, false claims including on the Veligonda scheme and Tirumala laddus, and issues like land grabbing and dictatorship-style governance.
He highlighted NDA's formation with TDP, JSP, and BJP partners as key to rebuilding, pointing to fulfilled promises like new districts (Markapuram, Madanapalle, Polavaram) to ease access for backward areas. He urged strong NDA support in upcoming elections for districts like Prakasam and Markapuram.
