Amaravati, February 26, 2026: Banks in Sri Sathya Sai district have outperformed their yearly credit goals by December 2025, delivering vital support to farmers across the region.

District Collector A. Shyam Prasad announced that 235 branches mobilized ₹11,565 crore in deposits and extended ₹21,019 crore in loans overall.

In agriculture, crop loans reached ₹6,244 crore for 3.84 lakh farmers (82% of target), while term loans hit ₹2,451 crore for nearly 87,000 farmers (94.25% achievement).

The sector posted 88% progress, directly benefiting 4.8 lakh farmers. Priority sector lending stood at ₹10,501 crore (87%), with MSME loans at ₹1,144 crore (88% range).
