Vijayawada, February 24, 2026: TDP Politburo member Varla Ramaiah accused YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of backstabbing Dalits throughout his five-year term as chief minister.
Speaking at a press conference at the TDP headquarters, Ramaiah highlighted Jagan's repeated public statements calling Dalits his own relatives, yet pointed to actions that he said showed the opposite.
Ramaiah referenced recent Supreme Court observations in the case involving MLC Anant Babu, accused of brutally killing his Dalit car driver Subrahmanyam in Kakinada, as proof of failures in protecting the community under the previous regime.
