In a post on X, he highlighted her grit, determination, and focus on welfare-driven policies, women's empowerment, social justice, and inclusive development. He recalled personal interactions, including her attendance at his Gujarat oath ceremonies and a Pongal lunch she hosted in Chennai.

Modi also praised her in a recent Mann Ki Baat address, noting her compassion, decisiveness, and deep connection with people, especially through efforts for women, law and order, and public welfare in Tamil Nadu.
