Newsroom, February 24, 2026: Filming for Kalki 2, the sequel to the blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, started today in Hyderabad under director Nag Ashwin. Veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan reprises his role as the immortal Ashwatthama, while Kamal Haasan returns as the antagonist Supreme Yaskin.
The two legends, who last shared the screen in the 1985 film Geraftaar, hugged and posed together on set, as shared by Bachchan.
Prabhas headlines again as Bhairava, with the story set to deepen the mythological sci-fi blend of Mahabharata elements in a dystopian future.
