Amaravati, February 23, 2026: Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath declared efforts underway to transition every farmer in NTR district to natural farming, with the ambition of establishing the district as a nationwide example.

Speaking at the Organic Rythu Utsav-2026 held at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in Vijayawada on February 22, he stressed that organic methods offer the best path for environmental protection, stable farmer incomes, and public health.

The Kesineni Foundation will run three-day workshops in every mandal over 225 days to build skills with expert guidance. He also promoted terrace gardening in cities to expand urban involvement.

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha introduced a QR code traceability system, enabling consumers to follow produce from seed to sale for greater trust in organic goods. Statewide support includes waste processing centers generating low-cost organic manure.
