Vijayawada, February 24, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh Legislature Sports-2026 begins at IGMC Stadium and Dandamudi Rajagopala Rao Indoor Stadium, featuring 14 events including cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, tug of war, athletics, badminton, chess, and carroms.
Organised by the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), the competition aims to foster camaraderie and well-being among lawmakers from various parties.
Assembly Speaker Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu inaugurates the meet, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, and other senior leaders expected to attend the opening.
Cricket draws special focus with six teams led by prominent figures like TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao and several ministers.
