Amaravati, February 22, 2026: YSRCP MLC Kumbha Ravibabu claimed the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh borrowed ₹3.28 lakh crore over the last 20 months.

He pointed to CAG data showing the state at the bottom for revenue growth nationwide, with only 1.97% annually, despite official claims of 11.09% GSDP expansion.

Ravibabu said these borrowings nearly match the ₹3.39 lakh crore the previous YSRCP government took over five years (2019-2024), yet the NDA has not delivered on key poll promises like the Super Six schemes.

He contrasted this with YSRCP-era achievements, including job creation for 1.36 lakh youth, school upgrades, health infrastructure, and direct benefit transfers worth ₹2.75 lakh crore.

Debt growth under YSRCP stood at about 15%, lower than 22% during the earlier TDP term (2014-19). He called for detailed disclosure of borrowings, sector-wise use, and budget links.
