Amaravati, February 22, 2026: A 37-day, 500-km cycle rally led by five women police officers has gained strong community backing in Andhra Pradesh's NTR district as it combats drug and ganja abuse.

The ‘Drugs Pai Dandayatra’ initiative, organized by NTR Police Commissionerate alongside the Elite Anti-Narcotics Group (EAGLE), revenue and excise officials, and NGOs, reached Vatsavai and nearby villages on its 27th day.

Participants held public meetings, debates, and discussions to highlight the health risks and legal penalties of drug use and supply. Youth, women, students, and local leaders joined voluntarily, showing widespread support for the cause.
