Amaravati, February 22, 2026: Andhra Pradesh's handloom sector gains a major boost as the Andhra Pradesh State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society (APCO) secures its first-ever direct supply order from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

In the initial phase, APCO will deliver 3,000 kanduvas (traditional shoulder coverings), 5,000 shawls, 90,000 cotton upper garments, and 75,000 cotton blouse pieces all featuring the sacred phrase “Om Namo Venkatesaya” in Telugu and Sanskrit.

These items will go to devotees at the Tirumala temple, marking a shift from previous suppliers to local Andhra weavers.
