Amaravati, February 21, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government has formed a one-man committee to probe administrative lapses in the ongoing controversy over alleged supply of adulterated ghee to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Retired IAS officer Dinesh Kumar (1983 batch) will lead the panel. It will review the self-contained note from the Supreme Court-appointed SIT (led by CBI) and recommend disciplinary action against erring TTD officials and committee members for any failures in enforcing or relaxing ghee tender norms.

The inquiry focuses strictly on governance, due diligence, and procedural compliance, without revisiting criminal aspects already handled by the SIT. The committee can access records, seek clarifications, and obtain expert input with government approval. Its report, recommendatory in nature, is due within 45 days.
