Amaravati, February 21, 2026: Police in Sri Sathya Sai district held an awareness programme at a high school in Parigi, urging students to reject drugs and embrace discipline.
Officials, including the Deputy Superintendent of Police from Penukonda, addressed young participants on the severe health risks and long-term damage of drug addiction.
They used visual displays to show real consequences of substance abuse, reckless driving, and other issues like child marriages and sexual offences under new laws. Students learned about helmet use, traffic rules, and strict penalties under POCSO.
The event followed a recent anti-drug rally in the area, part of broader efforts to build responsible habits early.
