Amaravati, February 21, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Y.S. Sharmila condemned recent attacks on Congress offices in multiple locations, blaming Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha activists.

She described the incidents as “cowardly acts” and a direct threat to democratic values, linking them to broader political tensions.

In a post on X, Sharmila questioned whether an incident in Delhi justified violence in Andhra Pradesh streets. She accused the BJP of embracing violence and suppressing dissent under the current central leadership, warning that such actions would face judgment from voters.

She urged Congress workers to resist peacefully while standing firm against what she called religious extremism and attacks on opposition rights.
