Newsroom, February 21, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, and Slovak President Peter Pellegrini during the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi on February 20.

With Mauritius, discussions reinforced the enhanced strategic partnership. Leaders stressed collaboration in artificial intelligence, technology, culture, and people-to-people links.

Modi highlighted Mauritius as a core partner in India's MAHASAGAR vision for security and growth in the Indian Ocean region. Both sides pledged close work on regional stability and shared prosperity.

Talks with Sri Lanka reviewed recent advances in bilateral relations. Areas covered included energy, connectivity, infrastructure, healthcare, skills development, culture, and the blue economy.
