Amaravati, February 21, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath strongly criticised YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members for holding photographs of Lord Venkateswara during protests in the Legislative Council.

He described the act as unfortunate and disrespectful, saying it halted key discussions on public matters and government policies.

The protest stemmed from opposition demands to debate issues like the Tirupati laddu ghee supply controversy. Bharath urged YSRCP leaders, including president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, to address alleged past misdeeds openly such as ghee adulteration claims rather than disrupt proceedings.

He emphasised that meddling with Lord Venkateswara invites consequences and called for respectful dialogue in the House.
