Amaravati, February 20, 2026: TDP State president Palla Srinivasa Rao hit back at the YSRCP during a press conference, calling their claims a “calculated political smokescreen” to dodge responsibility in the Tirumala laddu ghee controversy.

He said CBI inquiry results reveal a “systemic administrative collapse” during the previous YSRCP government.

The issue involves allegations of substandard or adulterated ghee in the sacred prasadam at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)-run temple, which devotees view as a serious breach of faith rather than a simple error.

Srinivasa Rao rejected YSRCP efforts to link Heritage Foods to adulterated supplies from a Maharashtra dairy as baseless and lacking proof. He stressed that former TTD officials under the prior administration had admitted irregularities, making accountability unavoidable.
