Amaravati, February 20, 2026: Authorities at the revered Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh have announced a full-day closure for the main shrine and associated sites on March 3 to observe a total lunar eclipse.

Temple Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao confirmed doors will open early at 3 a.m. for rituals like Suprabhata Seva and maha mangala harathi, with a brief darshan window from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The temple, including sub-shrines such as Sakshi Ganapati, Hatakeswaram, Paladhara-Panchadhara, and Shikareswaram, will then close at 6 a.m. and reopen at 7:30 p.m. after purification and samprokshana rituals. Evening darshan resumes from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
