International naval visitors from nearly 50 countries joined a hands-on natural dyeing workshop at Sankalpa Art Village near Visakhapatnam, blending global ties with Andhra's craft heritage during the ongoing International Fleet Review.

Vizag, February 20, 2026: Delegates attending the Indian Navy's International Fleet Review explored traditional natural dyeing techniques at Sankalpa Art Village in Pendurthi mandal, Visakhapatnam district.

Around 60 participants, including foreign navy representatives and spouses of senior officers, engaged in tie-and-dye sessions using plant-based extracts on handloom fabrics.

They also observed local artisans at work on lacquer toys, oxen oil products, and stone-ground traditional cooking, followed by a lively Kolatam folk dance where several delegates joined in.
