Amaravati, February 20, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told a World Economic Forum roundtable at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi that the state is actively developing a comprehensive quantum ecosystem.

The goal is to establish Andhra Pradesh as a key player in manufacturing quantum computing hardware for international markets.

He expressed strong confidence that the forthcoming Amaravati Quantum Valley already with its foundation laid earlier this month, will draw global attention and position the capital as a leading quantum innovation centre.

The push ties into broader deeptech efforts, including sovereign AI infrastructure to serve every citizen and scaled applications across sectors. Naidu highlighted partnerships with global leaders like IBM for skilling youth in quantum computing, AI, and cybersecurity, alongside plans for a Quantum and AI Centre of Excellence.
