Amaravati, February 20, 2026: The Cabinet Sub-Committee on Amaravati’s iconic towers met today and directed officials to appoint dedicated coordinators for each department.

Their task is to collect detailed inputs on staff strength, required office space, and amenities before final decisions on allocations in the General Administration Department tower and four Head of the Department towers.

MA&UD Minister P. Narayana shared after the meeting that earlier plans from 2014-2019 projected space for about 26,700 employees in roughly 52.72 lakh square feet of built-up area.

With sanctioned posts now at 39,882, the committee will reassess needs, review designs, parking, and facilities. They will also study models from Hyderabad and Naya Raipur secretariats. Another meeting is set for Monday.
