Amaravati, February 19, 2026: TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu clarified that Heritage Foods, linked to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's family, has had no role in supplying ghee for the sacred Tirumala laddus.

He accused the YSRCP of spreading baseless allegations to shift focus from its own record during 2019-2024, when adulteration concerns arose.

Naidu emphasised that current procurement follows strict, transparent tenders, with Karnataka Milk Federation (Nandini) supplying the majority at about 62% of needs, while Indapur Dairy covered only a smaller share.

The controversy stems from opposition questions on contracts awarded to Indapur Dairy, but Naidu rejected any Heritage connection, calling links "mischievous." Heritage Foods separately denied any ghee involvement with TTD and threatened legal action over defamatory claims.
