Vijayawada, February 19: Andhra Pradesh Minister for HRD, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh reviewed operations of the A.P. State Skill Development Corporation at his Undavalli residence.

He instructed officials to craft a clear roadmap for job creation, aligning with key performance goals and maximising opportunities for young people in grounded projects across sectors like manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and IT.

Lokesh highlighted ongoing inflows of large-scale investments and set a firm target of 200,000 jobs this year. He called for quarterly job melas at constituency levels, industry-linked training centres, curriculum updates with sector input, and faster rollout of an AI-powered skill portal already listing nearly 115,000 opportunities.

Faculty recruitment in universities and colleges will feature in the upcoming Ugadi job calendar to boost education-linked employment.
