Amaravati, February 19, 2026: Amara Hospital in Tirupati has reached a key milestone by completing 100 robotic-assisted knee replacement surgeries.

The facility, part of the Amara Raja group, uses advanced robotic technology like the MAKO system for greater precision in joint procedures. This leads to less tissue damage, lower post-surgery pain, faster recovery, and better outcomes compared to traditional methods. The 100th surgery involved a patient in their 70s from the local area.

Chairperson Dr. Prasad Gourineni credited the success to the skilled medical and support teams. The hospital positions itself as a growing center for robotic orthopedics in the Rayalaseema region, bringing high-tech care closer to Andhra Pradesh residents.
