Amaravati, February 18, 2026: Opposition YSRCP members disrupted the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council session in Vijayawada over fresh allegations tying Heritage Foods to ghee supplies for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) laddus, leading to two adjournments amid heavy sloganeering and protests.
YSRCP MLCs, including Sipai Subramanyam and KRJ Bharat, pushed an adjournment motion claiming ghee was sourced from Heritage via Indapur Dairy, demanding immediate debate.
They marched to the podium with placards, stalling Question Hour and business. Ruling TDP ministers rejected the claims, denied any Heritage link to TTD ghee, and challenged the opposition to show evidence.
Ministers accused YSRCP of staging drama to shift focus from past procurement issues during their rule. The Chairman rejected the motion and adjourned twice, finally postponing proceedings to Wednesday.
