Amaravati, February 18, 2026: Union Minister of State for Communications Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar met UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for AI and Online Safety Kanishka Narayan in New Delhi on the sidelines of an AI summit.

Discussions focused on AI's role in telecom evolution, including AI-native networks, autonomous management, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention tools.

Both sides highlighted next-gen areas like Open RAN, 6G, spectrum advances, and non-terrestrial networks, plus joint work in global standards bodies such as ITU and 3GPP.
