Amaravati, February 18, 2026: A horrific crime unfolded in Neerugattuvaripalli, Madanapalle, where seven-year-old S Rishika Priya, daughter of a handloom worker, vanished on Monday evening while playing near home.
Police reviewed CCTV footage and located her body the next day, concealed in a water drum at a neighbour's house.
The accused, a 27-year-old powerloom worker named Kulavardhan who lived opposite the family, allegedly sexually assaulted and killed the child before hiding the evidence.
