Amaravati, February 18, 2026: Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh chaired a Marketing Committee meeting in Vijayawada and directed officials to intensify promotional efforts.

The focus includes stronger social media campaigns, digital videos showcasing unique sites, brochures, and coffee table books all aimed at cost-effective reach.

The department reviewed successes from recent events like Visakha Utsav in Vizag, Amaravati Aavakaai Festival, Araku Festival, Gandikota Festival, Flamingo Festival, and beach celebrations at Yanam and Pakala.

Officials received approval for upcoming festivals with emphasis on advance "curtain raiser" promotions to build excitement and ensure smooth experiences. Durgesh stressed pre-event hype to attract crowds while generating state revenue.
