Amaravati, February 18, 2026: Ruling coalition MLAs in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly praised the recently presented ₹3.32 lakh crore budget for 2026-27, calling it a "people's budget" that reflects thoughtful planning and a commitment to inclusive development.

Key highlights include priority funding for SC, ST, and BC welfare, increased old-age pensions to ₹4,000 monthly, substantial support for mango farmers, efforts to turn Rayalaseema into a horticulture hub, ₹6,000 crore for developing Amaravati as a world-class capital, village road initiatives under ‘Palle Panduga’, and focused irrigation projects.

MLAs emphasized the budget's role in generating youth employment by attracting industries drawing parallels to Hyderabad's growth and advancing long-term progress despite inherited financial challenges.
