Amaravati, February 17, 2026: Thousands of devotees flooded Srisailam in Nandyal district today to witness the grand Rathotsavam during the ongoing Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple.
The celestial chariot festival unfolded with Vedic rituals, including Rathanga Puja, Homam, and Bali as per Agama traditions.
Priests escorted the utsava deities of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba in a palanquin toa flower-adorned chariot decorated with 11 varieties, including marigold, roses, and chrysanthemums.
Before devotees pulled it from the main gopuram to Nandi Circle and back, they chanted ““Hara Hara Mahadeva” and harathis. The evening featured Theppotsavam on water.
