Amaravati, February 16: Andhra Pradesh has unveiled sweeping healthcare reforms to shift from reactive treatment to preventive, predictive, and tech-enabled care.
Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav announced the push for accessible, affordable services through personalised health cards, AI-powered diagnostics, expanded telemedicine, and real-time monitoring linked to the state's RTGS platform.
The state partners closely with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for technical expertise. Key efforts include the Sanjeevani programme for digital health records and real-time tracking, a pilot in Chittoor district now scaling statewide, and the Med Tech Challenge, where innovators develop AI devices for government hospitals. A high-level advisory group of international experts guides specialised sub-committees.
